This month’s video features the Minnehaha Neighborhood. Minnehaha is located in the northeastern portion of Spokane. The Spokane River flows along the southern edge of the neighborhood, from which the terrain rises along the slopes of Beacon Hill to the northeast.

Looking for a way to stay cool? Make-a-Splash is hosting Neighborhood Pool Parties with food and fun on Fridays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Hillyard Aquatic Center on July 12 and Liberty Aquatic Center on Aug. 2. All splash pads, aquatic centers and the Rotary Fountain are open through summer. Seasonal 20 mph signs are posted around parks, so please slow down.

Mobile Speed Feedback Trailers will be placed in various locations to remind motorists of posted speeds and if they are speeding.

Asphalt art intersections are being painted, please check out the latest intersection by the Scoop near 20th Ave. and Lincoln St.

Disposal passes, good for $25 in tipping fees at the Waste to Energy Facility, will be available soon! Neighborhood councils may begin distributing them in August. The passes are valid from Aug. 1, through Oct. 31 and are distributed on a first come first served basis.
