The Working Families Tax Credit offered through the Washington State Department of Revenue provides payments of up to $1,255 to low- to moderate-income individuals and families.
Applications can be submitted to the state online for up to three years from the date the federal tax return was due.
The payments can be used for any purpose.
Many eligible Spokane County households have not applied for the credit, according to the Department of Revenue.
Two local agencies are partnering with Revenue to provide in-person assistance:
