September’s video features the North Indian Trail Neighborhood. Did you know that the neighborhood's name comes from the presence of a centuries-old trail through the area? The trail became an important arterial for the trappers and travelers who came to the Spokane area. North Indian Trail remained rural in nature through the middle of the 20th century.

It is wildfire season so make sure that your property is protected. A few tips include storing firewood and other combustible materials away from your home, pruning branches, keeping lawns and grasses less than four inches tall. Sign up for a free wildfire plan on the Department of Natural Resources website. And register for AlertSpokane.org to receive important fire evacuation outages and other important notifications.
