Disc Golf Courses

A man playing disc golf.

Disc Golf is a recreational sport for all ages. It is played by throwing a plastic disc into each of a series of baskets and played similar to traditional golf with the fewest throws possible reaching the basket. You can find the official rules on the Professional Disc Golf Association website. The City of Spokane offers four full length courses and five junior courses. The game is played all over the world and is currently one of the fastest growing sports around.

High Bridge Disc Golf Course

High Bridge Park is a 40-acre city park situated along the banks of Latah Creek, where it meets the Spokane River. It lies beneath the Sunset Bridge, the Burlington Northern railroad bridge, and the Interstate 90 overpass.

Initially, the area was used for military housing during World War II and was briefly converted into a campground after the war, as well as during the 1974 Expo World’s Fair. Today, the park features an 18-hole disc golf course coveted by locals for its challenging layout that weaves through hilly wooded areas, grassy parkland, and along the creek shoreline.

Please note that the High Bridge Disc Golf Course is currently in the design phase of an exciting rebuild. Stay tuned for updates!
