Hours of Operation

All City parks shall be closed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., except Riverfront Park, which shall be closed from midnight to 6:00 a.m. throughout the year.

Manito Park

  • Manito Loop Drive from 21st Ave at Japanese Gardens to Park Drive at Joel E. Ferris Perennial Gardens
    April 1st to October 31st: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    Closed from November 1st to March 31st
  • Manito Loop around Gaiser Conservatory
    Saturday before Daylight Saving Time to October 31: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    November 1st to Sunday of Daylight Saving Time open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Manito Parking Lot at South Playground and Splash Pad
    April 1st to October 31st: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    Closed from November 1st to March 31st
  • Shoshone Pl
    Will be closed no earlier than 2nd Monday in November and re-opened no later than 2nd Monday in March

Annual Park Restroom Season

Due to weather limitations, the annual park restroom season runs from the first weekend in May through the third weekend in September. This restroom season includes all parks except Riverfront Park, Manito Park, Finch Arboretum, the SE Sports Complex and the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex. Restrooms are opened and closed for the season in phases, usually taking a few weeks to cover the entire park system. Staffing levels may lead to a restroom opening later in the season than anticipated. We thank you for your patience.

Please Note: Early spring and later in the fall, portable toilets will be placed at the more popular locations such as Mission Park, Audubon Park, Comstock Park and Franklin Park.
