Project Timeline

Construction Start Date: Estimated spring/summer 2026

Construction Completion Date: Estimated fall/winter 2026

Project Description

This project realigns the existing Grandview corridor from the former H St. right-of-way (ROW), which is now within private parcels, to a new alignment directly east and within City ROW. The work includes paving the new roadway alignment, rerouting and replacing existing water mains and lateral service lines, extending new sewer main to provide sewer service to properties currently on septic systems, and adding associated storm system improvements.

Key Objectives

  • Roadway Realignment: Relocate existing street to bring it within existing City ROW.
  • Roadway Improvements: Provide new street intersection at 17th Avenue and H Street. This addresses intersection sight distance and ADA requirements.
  • Sewer Improvements: Extend sewer service with new 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sewer main with added side sewer services to properties currently on septic systems.
  • Water Main Replacement: Realign, replace and upsize aging cast-iron water transmission and distribution pipes to bring utilities within the ROW and extend their useful life.

Construction Estimate: $3.6 million
