Overview

This project replaces the out-of-service booster station at 9th and Pine with a modern facility capable of delivering up to 8,000 gallons per minute (gpm). New pumps, motors, and controls will improve efficiency and reliability in the Intermediate Pressure Zone.

Project Scope

The main activities within this project include:

  • New Building: Construct a facility to house pumps, motors, and control systems.
  • Equipment Installation: Install advanced controls and replace outdated electrical equipment.
  • Demolition: Remove the old, non-operational booster station.

  • Total Project Cost: $5,324,000 (includes design, construction, contingencies)

Community Impact

Enhances water supply reliability in the Intermediate Pressure Zone, reduces energy usage, and lowers maintenance costs. Construction will be scheduled to minimize service interruptions.

Environmental & Regulatory Compliance

All required environmental regulations and permits (SEPA Checklist, construction/drainage) will be obtained and followed.
