Avista
Avista is requesting to realign North Center Street, which will result in its intersection with Upriver Drive being within the 200ft shoreline setback of the Spokane River several hundred feet northeast of its current intersection location. Utilities will also be rerouted and installed within this new alignment.
A public hearing was held on this proposal on May 19th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Briefing Center at 808 W Spokane Falls Blvd, Lower Level Spokane, WA 99201. The decision was issued on June 2nd, 2016 by the Hearing Examiner. Decisions of the Hearing Examiner regarding shoreline conditional use permits are reviewed by the Washington State Department of Ecology. After review they may be appealed to the Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board. All appeals must be filed with the Shoreline Hearings Board within 21 calendar days of the date of the Ecology decision.
