915 N. Nelson
Spokane, WA 99217
The City of Spokane's Central Service Center will be a combined Solid Waste Collection and Fleet maintenance facility designed to create operational efficiencies and long-term savings. The two-story building will have a total of 57,500 square feet of space and will include vehicle maintenance bays and offices. Outside, the facility will include a compressed natural gas fueling facility for the City's Solid Waste trucks. The Solid Waste fleet will be converted from diesel to compressed natural gas over about 10 years. Construction on the Central Service Center will begin in spring 2014 and continue until the fall 2015. The City is using a design-build concept to develop the Central Service Center. The Design-Build team is Garco Construction and Bernardo Wills Architects.
