The applicant is proposing to subdivide a 14.25 acre property addressed as 2500 W 17th Avenue (parcel 25252.0032) into 56 lots for development of single family homes. The project is proposed in one phase. This proposal is a type III application requiring a hearing before the hearing examiner.
Appeals of decisions by the Hearing Examiner are governed by SMC 17G.060.210 and 17G.050.
Decisions of the Hearing Examiner regarding preliminary Type III Long Plat are final. They may be appealed to the City Council. All appeals must be filed with the Planning Department within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of the decision. The date of decision is the 17th day of August 2022.
The last day to appeal is the 31st day of August 2022 at 5 p.m.
In addition to paying the appeal fee to appeal the decision, the ordinance requires payment of a transcript fee to the City of Spokane to cover the costs of preparing verbatim transcript and otherwise preparing a full record for the City Council.
Any person may submit written comments on the proposal, call for additional information or participate in the hearing. Comments from the public related the application and any environmental issues associated with it are due by June 20, 2022 by 5 p.m.
There will be a public hearing on this proposal before the City of Spokane Hearing Examiner on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022, at 9:00 am. The hearing will be held in person at the designated time in the Council Chambers, Lower Level of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Boulevard, Spokane, WA. Any person may submit written comments on the proposal and/or appear at the public hearing.
The comment period for this SEPA ended on June 20, 2022. This Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) was issued under the optional DNS process in section 197-11-355 WAC. There is no further comment period on the MDNS; the lead agency will not act on this proposal for at least 14 days from the date of issuance. Appeal of this MDNS must be received within 14 calendar days after the signing of this MDNS (Deadline to Appeal is July 8 at 5 pm). The SEPA MDNS is available for review here.
