City of Spokane Waste Water Management is proposing to construct a buried 600-700ft long CSO prevention tank that is 72” in diameter, as well as an associated flow regulator vault and smaller diameter sewer piping beneath Upriver Dr. Because this work falls in the Shoreline Jurisdiction, this requires a Shoreline Conditional Use Permit.
A public hearing was held on this proposal on June 9th, 2016 at 9AM in the Council Briefing Center at 808 W Spokane Falls Blvd, Lower Level Spokane, WA 99201. The decision was issued on June 15th, 2016 by the Hearing Examiner. Decisions of the Hearing Examiner regarding shoreline conditional use permits are reviewed by the Washington State Department of Ecology. After review they may be appealed to the Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board. All appeals must be filed with the Shoreline Hearings Board within 21 calendar days of the date of the Ecology decision.
