Project Description

In the coming weeks, the City of Spokane will begin preparatory street maintenance work for a chip seal on Maple Street and Ash Street from Northwest Boulevard to Rowan Avenue. Chip seals are an important part of the City's street maintenance strategy. Please see the attached brochure for information on the process.

Project Highlights

The project encompasses various road surface improvements including:

  • Construction of approximately 65,000 square yards of chip seal.
  • Associated crack sealing.
  • Pavement repair.

Traffic Impact

Affected traffic routes will be announced prior to detours and road closures. Construction will take place in phases to reduce the impacts on traffic.

If you have special access requirements for your property (such as business, medical, or disability), or general questions about this project, please contact the Construction Relations Manager or Contractor Public Representative. Additionally, if your property is in the city-owned path of construction and will be disturbed, you will receive a separate letter with more details prior to construction.

For everyone’s safety, please obey all traffic signs and check for traffic updates throughout the project.
