Project Description

The City of Spokane Water Department is embarking on a project to replace an aging water main along Ray Street, stretching from Hartson Avenue to 11th Avenue. This essential infrastructure improvement is scheduled to commence in April 2024 at Hartson Avenue and is expected to progress southward, reaching 11th Avenue by July or August 2024. Projects like this are crucial for maintaining a reliable and functional water system to serve the residents of the neighborhood and the wider city.

Project Highlights

The project encompasses a range of infrastructure improvements, including:

  • Construction of approximately 2,800 linear feet of water distribution and transmission main
  • Installation of four drainage structures
  • Building 150 linear feet of storm sewers
  • Application of 3,000 square yards of 3-4 inch thick pavement
  • Making sundry utility adjustments
  • Execution of other related miscellaneous items.

These improvements aim to enhance the overall infrastructure, ensuring better water distribution, drainage, and road surface quality in the area.
