City of Spokane
The City of Spokane is applying for a Shoreline Conditional Use permit to construct an approximately 2.2 million gallon combined sewer overflow prevention tank on the hillside just north of and partially within Spokane Falls Blvd, directly north of the downtown library. The City will also be constructing a public plaza on top of the tank, adjacent to Spokane Falls Blvd.
A public hearing was held on this proposal on October 27th, 2016 at 10AM in the Council Briefing Center at 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd, Lower Level Spokane, WA 99201. The decision was issued on November 8th, 2016 by the Hearing Examiner. Decisions of the Hearing Examiner regarding shoreline conditional use permits are reviewed by the Washington State Department of Ecology. After review they may be appealed to the Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board. All appeals must be filed with the Shoreline Hearings Board within 21 calendar days of the date of the Ecology decision.
