Summit Church is proposing an approximately 2,784 square foot addition to include additional sanctuary space and administrative offices. Proposed work would also include the addition of parking stalls to the existing parking lot, the inclusion of perimeter landscaping, and the addition of a new curb cut south of the existing parking lot, onto 29th Ave.
The City of Spokane Planning Director issued a Decision on the Summit Church Addition Conditional Use Permit application on January 30th, 2015. This decision was appealed on February 13th, 2015 to the Hearing Examiner by Claire Eastlund, a neighbor of the church. The Hearing Examiner held a public hearing on April 2nd, 2015. The Hearing Examiner issued his decision on the Appeal on April 23rd, 2015. Decisions by the Hearing Examiner regarding administrative appeals are final. They may be appealed by any part of record by filing a Land Use Petition with the Superior Court of Spokane County. The Land Use Petition must be filed and the City of Spokane must be served within 21 calendar days of the date of the decision. The date of the last day to appeal was the 14th day of May 2015.
The City has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance in conjunction with the Conditional Use Permit Decision on January 30, 2015. Appeals of the Planning Director's decision are governed by Spokane Municipal Code 17G.060.210. Any party of record may file an appeal of this decision. Decisions of the Planning Director regarding administrative conditional use permits are final. They may be appealed to the City of Spokane Hearing Examiner within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of this decision. The date of this decision is the January 30, 2015. The date of the last day to appear was February 13th, 2015 at 4 p.m.
