12:14 p.m. - Tuesday, March 23, at approximately midnight, SFD responded to the 2300 E block of Central Avenue on a report of a possible house fire.

10:52 a.m. - Thursday, March 18, units from the Spokane Fire Department were dispatched to 3000 block of E Broad St for an apartment fire.

11:41 a.m. - Officers responded to a reckless driver call in the East Central neighborhood in which the driver was possibly armed.

5:18 a.m. - One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, while another was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries

4:59 p.m. - Recently there has been an increase in “kidnapping scams” in the Spokane area. SPD wants the public to be aware of these scams and to report them.

10:49 a.m. - SFD and an auto aid engine company from Fire District 9 were dispatched to the 2100 block of West Weile Avenue for a residential structure fire.

Residential Fire and Rescue on Spokane's South Hill

10:47 a.m. - SFD and a District 8 Engine Company were dispatched to the 3400 block of East 28th Avenue for a residence on fire.

8:43 a.m. - Officers responded to a shooting call in North Spokane. No victims were shot but suffered injuries to their faces from being pistol whipped.
