Who says fall fun is just for the countryside? We're bringing all the fun of the farm and community spirit right into downtown for WSECU Fall Fest! Come join us the first Saturday in October to celebrate one of the most beautiful seasons Spokane has to offer. We’ve got a bunch of activities planned that everyone in the family will love. See you there!

We’re looking for enthusiastic community members to help make this year’s WSECU Fall Fest a success. Multiple shifts are available throughout the day, and in appreciation for your time, volunteers will receive a Riverfront Park Day Pass to enjoy later. Sign up online.

Numerica Skate Ribbon
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Artist Fair presented by Spokane Arts (east of the Skate Ribbon)
  • Pumpkin Carving Station & Contest (east of the Skate Ribbon)
  • Beer Garden on the patio with The Riverfront Park Café & Live Music Performances
    • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Ban Joey
    • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Kori Aileen
  • Horse & Carriage Rides – Pick-up & Drop-off
  • Pumpkin Patch with Charlie’s Produce – Complimentary pumpkins available for children aged 12 and under, with a suggest donation of $1 or canned/non-perishable food items. Donations will go to the MLK Center Food Bank.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

Show off your spook-tacular pumpkin skills at WSECU Fall Fest! Bring a pumpkin from home or donate to the MLK Food Bank at the event to pick out a pumpkin on-site.

Two Ways to Play
  1. Pumpkin Decorating (Ages 0–11)
    1. Paint, stickers, glitter, googly eyes… anything crafty goes! (No sharp tools here.)
    2. Limited craft supplies available on-site.
  2. Pumpkin Carving (Ages 12+)
    Kids under 16 must have an adult present.
    1. Grab your carving tools and create a jack-o'-lantern masterpiece!
    2. Limited carving supplies available on-site.
Contest Rules
  1. One entry per person
  2. The base must be a real pumpkin
  3. Pumpkin Decorating: Ages 0–11 | Pumpkin Carving: Ages 12+
  4. Bring your own pumpkin or donate to the MLK Food Bank onsite at Riverfront Park to pick from the urban pumpkin patch
  5. You may decorate or carve at home and bring it in or use the tools onsite between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  6. Submit pumpkins to the contest station by 4 p.m.
  7. Pick up your pumpkin to take home at 5 p.m.
