?Just after 3 am on Saturday, March 1st, multiple units of the Spokane City and Spokane District 9 Fire Departments were dispatched to a technical rescue at N. Barnes Rd. & N. Creston Ln. in the Indian Trail area.

Fire crews arrived to find the the crash scene of a late model Corvette. It was clear that the vehicle had left the roadway, gone airborne and then traveled a significant distance over the embankment. The vehicle rolled several times and came to a rest on its top in steep, wooded terrain. A male patient was found free of the vehicle and was immediately treated for injuries and transported to a medical facility. A second patient was entangled in the overturned wreckage and firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle. Once stabilized the firefighters utilized extrication equipment to lift the vehicle and then cut the vehicle apart to free her from the passenger compartment. Firefighters carried the patient up the embankment to an awaiting AMR ambulance for transport to a local medical facility.

Spokane Police remained at the scene for several hours to investigate the accident and formulate a plan to remove the wreckage from the scene. Cause of the crash is still under investigation.
