Just after 530 AM on July 28th, units of the Spokane Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 2600 Block of W. Mallon Ave in the West Central neighborhood. First-arriving units reported fire showing from a first-floor bedroom window.
?Crews conducted an aggressive interior attack and rapidly knocked down the fire, containing it to to the room of origin. Additional crews ventilated the residence and conducted search operations to ensure all occupants were accounted for.
No firefighters or civilians were injured; 2 adult males were displaced, and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Spokane Fire Department Special Investigations Unit.
