Asphalt Art

The $972,950 three-year pilot program that runs through 2027 will allow all 29 neighborhoods to apply for a piece of intersection asphalt art by a commissioned artist. Also, part of the program includes installing six community thermoplastic crosswalks, two in each Council district, located at:

• District 1: 601 W. Mallon Ave. by the Flour Mill AND Wellesley Ave. and Pittsburg St.
• District 2: 509 E. 33rd Ave. by Sacajawea Middle School AND Lincoln Dr. and Comstock Ct.
• District 3: 800 W. Garland Ave. by the Milk Bottle AND Carlisle Ave. and Belt St. by Audubon Elementary School.
