A contractor will begin installing vaults and conduit on Tuesday, September 3 for a downtown fiber network, creating slow-downs on Second Avenue and Stevens Street for up to two weeks.

North Sky Communications will keep two lanes of traffic flowing on both streets for the duration of the work. Motorists should expect delays while the work is completed. The work is complex and may last until September 13 to work around existing underground utilities in the area.

Spokane Rock Products has been selected as the asphalt contractor.
