The next edition of “Council Connection,” the cable television program featuring Spokane City Council members as hosts, will be shown live, Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m. on CityCable 5. Council Member Amber Waldref, District 1, will host the program titled, “Reimagining Downtown: Creating Safe Spaces and Investing in Housing.”
The call-in show will feature guests, including: Developer Ron Wells, Consultant Jim Kolva, Downtown Spokane Partnership representative Andrew Rolwes, and Bryn West, General Manager of Riverpark Square.
“Supporting increased housing options downtown is vital to creating a diverse and economically successful center for our region,” Waldref explains. “Redeveloping housing and transforming public and private spaces downtown can decrease crime, increase livability and generate new growth and opportunity for Spokane.”

“Council Connection” is shown live on the first Wednesday of the month and is replayed throughout the month. CityCable 5 is the City of Spokane’s government-access cable station; it’s found on Channel 5 on the Comcast cable system in Spokane.
