Winners of the 2014 Spokane Human Rights Award will be honored Friday, Oct. 24. The award presentation is hosted by the City of Spokane’s Human Rights Commission.

The Human Rights Award recognizes the outstanding work of those who promote mutual understanding and respect in the Spokane community within three categories:

  • Youth Award (Individual under 21 years of age)
  • Individual Award
  • Organization Award

A ceremony for this year’s winners will be held at City Hall. Presenters include Lisa Rosier, the Chair of Spokane Human Rights Commission; City Council Member Karen Stratton; and Tony Stewart with the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations.
