The City of Spokane is taking the next steps to develop a vision for the busy Lincoln Heights commercial district. On Wednesday, Sept. 30, City planners are hosting an open house where citizens can address interests and concerns for the area outlined in a recent report.

In June, a Technical Assistance Panel from the Northwest Office of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) visited the Lincoln Heights District Center area and reviewed background information provided by city staff. The panel held a workshop that culminated in an oral report for City staff and Spokane residents regarding land use and development challenges in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood.

Now that the ULI’s written report has been completed, citizens are encouraged to give their input on it. The City will use feedback from citizens and neighborhood groups along with the ULI’s report to help guide planning for the area.
