Parking meters don’t have to be plugged on Wednesday, Nov. 11, because of the Veterans Day holiday. City of Spokane offices and libraries, however, are open as usual on Wednesday, and garbage pickup and curbside recycling will proceed on a normal schedule.

Riverfront Park’s Ice Palace, Skyride, and Carrousel are open on Veterans Day, and the Chinese Lantern Festival is continuing in the park. Check www.spokaneriverfrontpark.com for the schedule.

Meanwhile, the City’s Municipal Court employees will be working and are available by phone on Wednesday, Nov. 11, but since the Spokane County Courthouse Building will be closed on that day, the court isn’t available for walk-in customers.
