Spokane, Washington – Today, all six branches of Spokane Public Library are open until 8 p.m. Updated information about hours, programs, and movie showings can be found on our website, Facebook, and Twitter. Non-essential City of Spokane offices will be closed Friday, November 27, but the library will be open normal hours that day. For more information about Friday closures, you can go here on the city website.

Pop-up programs, build it toys and games are available at all library branches with movies being run through the rest of the week and weekend at Shadle, South Hill and Downtown libraries.

All late fines will be waived for materials with due dates between November 16 and November 30. Due dates are extended until November 30. Lost materials cannot be waived. You may not see these changes on your account immediately. Please be patient as we make these changes, and rest assured that you will not be charged fines during this time.

“We know that these are trying times for so many Inland Northwest residents, and we want you to know that the library is an integral part of the City of Spokane as we work together to provide you with the resources you need,” said Andrew Chanse, Library Director.

Don’t forget that our partner, Mobius Science Center is in the Downtown Library on the third floor. The Mobius Children’s Museum is open today as well and has a new exhibit called “Launch It,” helping people learn about the power of air and understand the recent windstorm. For more information about hours and exhibits, contact Mobius Science Center at 509.321.7133.
