Free Clean Green dumpster event to aid in windstorm cleanup

The Office of Neighborhood Services and the Solid Waste Department are coordinating three weeks for free clean green dumpster events to help citizens with windstorm cleanup.  For the next three weekends, the City will have dumpsters available at different areas of Spokane for the three council districts.

These events will be for clean green debris ONLY. Anything larger than three inches in diameter and root balls will not be accepted. Large pieces of debris are still being accepted for free at the Northside Landfill from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through this weekend (Dec. 5 and 6).

The free clean green dumpster events will be held on a Saturday and Sunday for each council district. Geiger and DOC crews will be there to help citizens unload material.

Council District 1 (NE Spokane): Dec. 5-6 at Rogers High School (1622 E. Wellesley Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please enter parking lot from Heroy.

This includes Bemiss, Chief Garry Park, East Central, Hillyard, Logan, Minnehaha, Nevada/Lidgerwood, Whitman Neighborhoods

Council District 2 (South Spokane): Dec. 12-13 at Ferris High School (3020 E. 37th) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please enter parking lot off of 37th Ave.

This includes Browne’s Addition , Cliff/Cannon, Comstock, Grandview/Thorpe, Latah Valley, Lincoln Heights, Manito/Cannon Hill, Peaceful Valley, Riverside, Rockwood, Southgate, West Hills Neighborhoods

Council District 3 (Northwest Spokane): Dec. 19-20 at Dwight Merkel Park (5071 N. Assembly) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 

This includes Audubon, Balboa/South Indian Trail, Emerson Garfield, Five Mile Prairie, North Indian Trail, Northwest, North Hill, West Central Neighborhoods
