Spokane Mayor David Condon has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all City facilities be lowered to half-staff effective immediately to honor the victims of Tuesday’s shooting in San Bernardino, California.

“Our nation is in mourning after a senseless tragedy,” said Mayor Condon. “The Spokane community offers its support to the victims and families affected by the shooting in San Bernardino.”

Flags should remain at half-staff until the close of business or sunset on Monday, Dec. 7.

Other government entities, citizens, and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
