City of Spokane Wastewater Management crews have received several reports of standing water around the City today, particularly at intersections and at the bottom of hills, and are working to clear storm drains and large puddles.

Large puddles can be reported to the City Wastewater Management Department at 509.625.7900 during regular business hours or at 509.625.7800 after hours. Motorists should slow down around standing water and should try to avoid the puddles when possible.

In residential areas, residents are asked to clear drains of leaves and other debris near their properties, if possible, to keep the water flowing. Some storm drains are likely clogged because of pine needles and other debris in the street, following last month’s wind storm.
