2:06 p.m. - On Monday, Jan. 11, the Spokane City Council passed into law a sick and safe leave policy within the City of Spokane.

House fire damages home's basement

1:23 p.m. - A family of six escaped uninjured from a fire that damaged the basement of their home.

SPD Officers Arrest Stabbing Suspect within Minutes

1:08 p.m. - Just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the Goodwill Outlet store in the 1400 block of east Front.

Program Flash ending at intersections city-wide

10:49 a.m. - The City will be terminating programmed flash – setting traffic signals to flash during early morning hours – at several intersections citywide.

City Closures Planned for MLK Day

10 a.m. - In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 18, Spokane City Hall will be closed along with other City facilities.

2:55 p.m. - Nominations for the 2nd Annual Citizen Hall of Fame are open through Feb. 4.

City to refinance RPS bonds

12:17 p.m. - The City of Spokane announced today plans to refinance bonds that were sold as part of a settlement related to the River Park Square parking garage.
