The City of Spokane wants you to join the conversation that is Shaping Spokane. The citizens of Spokane have already helped define neighborhoods, preserve open space, embrace historical characteristics, create walkable communities and improve transportation options.

Now the City is seeking ideas on implementing updates to the Comprehensive Plan as part of the Shaping Spokane initiative. Citizens are encouraged to attend an open house this month:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13, Downtown Library, 906 W Main Ave., 4-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 20, Southside Christian Church, 2934 E 27th Ave., 4:30-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 22, Northeast Community Center, 4001 N Cook St., 4:30-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 29, West Central Community Center, 1603 N Belt St., 4:30-8 p.m.
