SPD arrests two juveniles after a destructive evening in Eagle Ridge neighborhood.
On the evening of 07-16/early morning of 07-17, multiple homes under construction in the Eagle Ridge neighborhood, specifically the Forest Ridge Park area, were maliciously damaged. Multiple windows were broken, as well as damage to drywall and park equipment. The monetary damage total is already several thousand dollars, and that total may increase. Astute citizens were able to provide SPD with vital information, and SPD patrol officers were able to identify multiple suspects. Two sixteen-year-old males were arrested for malicious mischief 2nd degree. Additional charges and arrests are possible.
Without the assistance of citizens reporting their observations, solving this case and holding the individuals accountable would not have been possible. This is another great example of citizens being the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Police Department.
