Know a kid that would be interested in participating in positive athletic and academic programs, including gang and drug intervention and prevention? The Spokane Police Activities League (PAL) 2018 summer program is open for registration. Activities offered included Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), basketball, baseball, flag football, volleyball and soccer.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our officers and our youth to come together this summer and hang out in our local parks and be productive” says Officer Jennifer DeRuwe.

Spokane PAL is a partnership program developed by the Spokane Police Department and community leaders. The object of the program is to engage potential at-risk youth with positive athletic, academic and community service programs that will secure their path to a successful, healthy and prosperous adulthood. The program is a collaborative effort with agencies consisting of law enforcement, faith based and non-profit organizations, Spokane Public Schools, Juvenile Courts, the local business community and other interested agencies.
