Spokane Mayor Condon has directed that all flags at City facilities be lowered to half-staff on Monday, September 11, 2018 for Patriot Day, the annual memorial to the victims of the 2001 tragedy.

“It is our duty as a nation, as a state, as a city, and as a community to never forget 9/11,” said Mayor David Condon. “This flag lowering every year for Patriot Day is one of the ways we continue to remember and honor the victims and heroic emergency responders on that tragic day 17 years ago.”

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
