In observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27, City Hall will be closed along with other City facilities, including the Waste-to-Energy facility. Parking meters don’t have to be plugged on Monday, and garbage pickup and curbside recycling will be a day late all week.

All Spokane Public Library branches will be closed on Sunday and Monday, May 26 and 27. Spokane Municipal Court also is closed Monday.

The Spokane City Council briefing session and legislative meeting for the week of May 27 have been cancelled. The Council will hold its next weekly briefing session and legislative meeting on Monday, June 3, at 3:30 and 6 p.m. respectively in the City Council Chambers in the lower level of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. Meetings also are shown live on CityCable 5, the City’s government-access cable station, and are streamed on the web at www.spokanecity.org.

Meanwhile, Riverfront Park attractions, including the Looff Carrousel, the Numerica SkyRide, the Numerica Skate Ribbon, and other activities, will be open during the holiday weekend. Details are available on the web.

Additionally, most of the City’s splash pads are scheduled to open for the season on May 25, with the exception of those in Grant Park and Nevada Park, which will open June 17. City golf courses are open.
