Due to the likelihood of unhealthy and potentially hazardous air quality on Monday, August 21, 2023, Spokane Council President is encouraging members of the public to participate virtually in Monday’s 6:00 p.m. City Council Legislative Session. Council Members and staff are also encouraged to attend virtually due to the hazardous air quality.
“I want to make sure that we are taking every precaution to keep our community members safe from the toxic smoke resulting from the devastating Medical Lake and Elk wildfires,” said Council President Lori Kinnear. “Community members are always able to watch and participate virtually in our Council meetings and I highly encourage them to do so on Monday.”
