I-90 Westbound Off-Ramp Closed at Freya St. Starting March 25

Crews will begin Phase 2 of the Thor-Freya corridor project Monday, March 25 to rebuild two intersections at Thor and 2nd Ave. and Freya and 2nd Ave. in east central Spokane. Improvements include rebuilding the intersections with concrete, replacing curb and stormwater facilities, ADA upgrades, and water and sewer replacements. Similar work will be done on eastbound 3rd Ave. at Thor and Freya streets once this project is complete.

What to Expect:

  • Westbound I-90 Exit 283B Thor/Freya off-ramp will be closed.
  • Westbound drivers have three rerouting options. Use Exit 286 at Broadway Ave., Exit 285 at Sprague, or Exit 283A at Altamont St.
  • Westbound 2nd Ave. will be closed between Thor St. and Freya St. starting at 6 a.m.
  • Northbound Freya St. will be open between 5th Ave. and Sprague Ave.
  • Detour is expected to be in place for approximately 10 weeks or early June.
