Section of Cheney-Spokane Rd. to Open Thursday

The Marshall Rd. Transmission Water Line project is progressing and S. Cheney-Spokane Rd. between Qualchan Dr. and the retail area in the S. 4300 block will open starting the morning, of Thursday, Sept. 26. The remaining section of S. Cheney-Spokane Rd. between Qualchan Dr. and S. Cedar Rd. is currently scheduled to reopen in mid-to-late October.

Residents in the W. Qualchan Dr. and Eagle Ridge neighborhoods are urged to use the reopened route to reduce congestion at the S. Meadow Lane Rd. and US 195 intersection during peak traffic times.

What to Expect:

  • Cheney-Spokane Rd. will be OPEN just south of the retail area to Qualchan Dr.
  • Cheney-Spokane Rd. remains CLOSED between Qualchan Dr. and S. Cedar Rd.
  • SPEED REDUCTIONS remain in place on US 195 between Hatch Rd. and Qualchan Dr.
  • Friday, Sept. 27 will be the final day of traffic control with flaggers at the US 195 and Meadow Lane Rd. intersection.
  • Businesses are OPEN and ACCESSIBLE from the Cheney-Spokane Rd. interchange.
