Slick Roads Making for Hazardous Conditions

Today's precipitation and tonight's freezing temperatures have made driving a bit treacherous. If you don't need to be on the roads, please stay home.

The "perfect storm" of today's weather conditions have made driving a bit dicey tonight. The attached picture is of a multiple vehicle crash on Monroe just south of Francis. If you have to travel tonight, be prepared for the road conditions. Make sure your tires, lights, defrosters and wipers are in good working condition and you have the necessary means to deal with the elements. If you are involved in a minor collision, please exchange information with the other driver and file a report at www.wsp.wa.gov if there are injuries or the damages are more than $1000.

Remember the speed limit is for optimum road conditions so slow your speed and increase your following distance.
