Today, the City of Spokane Street Department started a grind and overlay project on Boone Avenue between Washington and Monroe Streets. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to plan ahead, allow for extra time, and use alternate routes during peak traffic. Please slow down for everyone’s safety and make the extra effort to support businesses impacted by construction. Boone Avenue Grind & Overlay – Washington to Monroe Streets

Today, Tuesday, Aug. 26, the Street Department began a grind and overlay project on Boone Avenue between Washington and Monroe Streets. Crews are expected to wrap up work by Monday, Sept. 8.

What to Expect

  • Boone Avenue will have lane closures between Washington and Monroe Streets.
  • Drivers should expect slower speeds and traffic delays.
  • Businesses will remain accessible. Please make the extra effort to support those impacted.
