Volunteers turned out in good numbers over the weekend for Cleaning From the Core, which kicked off Spokane Gives Week.
More than 400 volunteers came out to help get our city ready for the busy festival and tourism season. That is more than double the number who came out last year.
It was a great start to the week as Spokane is once again showing its compassionate side. And, there is a full week of volunteer opportunities ahead.
It is not too late to get involved. More than 100 organizations around the community have registered volunteer opportunities.
