Spokane libraries reach out to aspiring filmmakers

The Spokane Public Library is truly so much more than books. Whether you want to start up a business, enroll for technology training, or even make your own film, the library has you covered.

Recently, the Huffington Post highlighted the Public Library's HD video equipment services, naming Spokane's one of Five Libraries That Go Beyond Books.

Pretty cool, right? The Spokane Public Library lets you check out a kit that includes an HD video camera, shotgun microphone, Pixela software and corresponding cables. You can also pick up wireless microphones, tripods, and boom poles for the shotgun mics.

Borrow the camera kit for up to three weeks and renew it up to two times if there's no waiting list. Basically, you don't need to worry about expensive video equipment rentals – just head to your library.
