Help the City address community, housing, and homelessness

Updated 03-16-2015

Every five years, the City looks to finalize plans for programs and services that support Spokane's low-income individuals and families, and the Community, Housing and Human Services (CHHS) Department is reaching out to the public for feedback.

This process, which involves extensive planning, outlining strategy, and goal setting, is crucial for CHHS. It enables the City to receive funding for programs such as affordable housing, public services, homeless housing and services, neighborhood improvements, and fair housing.

There are four major planning documents which guide CHHS: the Five-Year Consolidated Plan, Homeless Plan, Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, and 2015 Annual Action Plan. The plans will prioritize the investment of more than $65 million over the next five years. We are nearing the end of over a year of research and information gathering from a wide variety of stakeholders. Before the plans are adopted, we want to hear your comments on the drafts.
