This week, three finalist design teams visited sites in Spokane as they prepare to present their vision for the future of Riverfront Park. The teams from Walker Macy (Portland, OR), The Berger Partnership (Seattle, WA), and Hargreaves Associates (San Francisco, CA) assessed Spokane's natural and urban landscapes during their site visits.
The knowledge they gained during the visits will guide each design team's Public Presentation on Wednesday, June 3rd at City Hall (6 p.m.). An Open House will be held immediately following the presentations, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide feedback.
On June 4th, interviews with each of the respective teams will be held by a Park Board-appointed Design Steering Committee. The Park Board Design Steering Committee will deliver a recommendation to the Park Board, which will ultimately choose the winning designer this summer.
