Nearly 6,000 people joined Spokane Mayor David Condon for a community conversation Thursday night about the state of the city. Topics ranged from street improvements to the redevelopment of Riverfront Park to the latest in the search for a new police chief.

The discussion is the latest in a month-long conversation. The city is seeking feedback on the progress it has made, opportunities ahead and community priorities.

Thursday night's conversation was broadcast live on City Cable 5. Participants joined the discussion via telephone, on social media and in person at the City Council Chambers in City Hall.

Upcoming conversations will be held on Monday, Feb. 29 at the South Hill Library and Tuesday, March 1 at the Hillyard Library. Discussion starts at 6 pm both nights and will focus on these three questions:

  • Where has the city made progress?
  • Where do the opportunities remain?
  • What are the most important priorities?

If you are unable to join in person, comments can sent to Vision2020@spokanecity.org or submitted below.
