As the Mayor’s Housing Quality Task Force (HQT) continues its work to support improved access to safe, quality, and affordable housing in Spokane, you can provide feedback to help shape their efforts.
Share your thoughts about the issue and possible solutions via the Mayor's Housing Quality Task Force Survey.
At the most recent HQT session Tuesday, task force members shared information from roundtable discussions held by members from the local Banking and Real Estate industries. Representatives from those industries talked about programs targeted at home buyers, including help with making down payments so people could get into housing right away. Suggestions were also put forward about using policies and programs to target specific areas of Spokane to improve quality housing access where it is most needed or lacking, rather than targeting the entire City.
Keep checking the City’s blogs page for updates as HQT continues its regular meetings. Additional surveys will be available as well to gather more ideas and insights from the public.
