“Shine out, fair sun, till I have bought a glass, that I may see my shadow as I pass.” Act I Scene II
William Shakespeare’s “Richard III” is coming to Riverfront Park! We are excited for the return of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. This year, the performance will take place on Friday, August 19th, 2016.
This is the 44th season for the company. Montana Shakespeare in the Parks tours with 10 professional actors who bring live theatre to communities in Montana and neighboring states.
This is an outreach program of Montana State University's College of Arts and Architecture. The free performances are supported by grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
After visiting Riverfront Park, the company will perform “The Comedy of Errors” on Saturday, August 20th, at the Pavilion Park in Liberty Lake at 5pm.
You are invited to bring your family and friends, a picnic, blankets and chairs, and enjoy the show! We suggest that you arrive early to get a good seat and get settled in. The performance begins at 5:30pm in the Lilac Meadow at Riverfront Park.
Kevin Asselin, artistic director of MSIP, will direct “Richard III” and Chris Duval, a professor from the University of Utah, will direct “The Comedy of Errors.”
Both performances are FREE and open to the public.
We hope to see you there!
