The Mayor's Urban Design Awards Ceremony will be open to the public and we encourage all citizens who would like to learn more about good urban design to attend.
Date: October 19th, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with a reception continuing afterwards until 7:30 p.m.
Location: Saranac Commons 19 W Main Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
Event Details: Prior to the award announcements, local design oriented and street activating non-profit groups, will present on their organization's work and hosting tables with more information about their projects. After the ceremony, attendees are encouraged to learn more about volunteering or donating to one or more of the non-profits. Donation can be made by purchasing tickets for $5 dollars each at the Spokane Arts table.
The Mayor and the Design Review Board Chair will be handing out the various awards and will speak on the importance of good urban design in the public realm and its benefits to the community. After the awards ceremony, a reception will commence giving attendees the opportunity to talk to urban designers and learn more about all of the great urban design projects.
Limited light appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks provided. Addition food and drinks can be purchased from several business located in the Saranac Commons.
