Paid Parking Rates to Increase

City of Spokane Parking Services strives to offer a consistent level of service to everyone and to make parking easy, convenient, and accessible.

The City is increasing the on-street paid parking rates by 50 cents per hour starting Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023. This is the first rate increase since 2011. New rates will be:

  • 2 Hour - $1.70 per hour
  • 4 Hour - $1.30 per hour
  • All Day - $1 per hour

The parking fund is not part of the City’s General Fund, therefore, funds from meter and kiosk payments are the primary source of revenue to operate the Paid Parking System, and neighborhood and disabled parking programs.

Parking Services reached out to stakeholders in the downtown core who supported this rate increase along with City Council and Administration.

Paid parking encourages turnover at the most convenient locations, creating a more positive parking experience. Finding a place to park increases opportunities for shoppers and visitors to do business and generate a thriving environment.
