Join us for Bike to Work Day!

This Friday, May 17, is National Bike to Work Day! To celebrate, Mayor Lisa Brown and members of City Council will lead two bike rides into downtown Spokane from nearby neighborhoods. Join us for either ride to talk with elected leaders about the future of walking, bicycling, and rolling in Spokane.

Mayor’s Bike to Work Day Ride

  • When: Friday May 17, 8-9 a.m.
  • Where: Meet at the corner of Nettleton and Summit Parkway in Kendall Yards. Ride Starts at 8 a.m., following the Centennial Trail. All are welcome.
  • Details: Join Mayor Lisa Brown to ride from Olmsted Brothers Green in Kendall Yards, through Riverfront Park, to City Hall. Stop by the City Bicycle Advisory Board’s Energizer Station to grab refreshments and provide feedback on the City’s next Neighborhood Greenway on Pacific Avenue. Stop by the Bicycle Advisory Board’s Energizer Station at Riverfront Park’s north entrance on the way!

Ride With Elected Leaders – City Council Members Zack Zappone and Kitty Klitzke

  • When: Friday May 17, 12-1 p.m.
  • Where: Meet at the south entrance to Corbin Park, at Howard Street and Waverly Place. Ride starts at 12 p.m. and rides down Howard Street and through Riverfront Park. All are Welcome.
  • Details: Ride with District 3 Spokane City Council Members Zack Zappone and Kitty Klitzke, starting at Corbin Park and following Howard Street into Downtown. Talk with elected leaders about the future of walking, bicycling and rolling in Spokane, and learn about upcoming projects.

Participate Online – Pacific Avenue Neighborhood Greenway Survey

  • Details: If you can’t make one of these rides, participate online by taking an online survey about Spokane’s next Neighborhood Greenway for walking, bicycling and rolling. The Pacific Avenue Neighborhood Greenway will provide a safe route for walking, bicycling and rolling between Downtown Spokane, the University District, the Ben Burr Trail, and the Sprague Union Business District.
